Mr. Floyd co-founded Morris-Floyd Capital Partners. The goal of this venture is to acquire value-add assets with low leverage which offer risk adjusted returns to investors through their combined experience and knowledge to de-risk investment and accelerate value creation.

Walter has enjoyed consulting with corporations on their National Real Estate decisions for over 10 years. He has been responsible for leasing, disposition and acquistion of over 9,000,000 square feet of office and industrial facilities throughout the country. He has been involved in over 600 assignments ranging from build to suit, sale leasebacks and 1031 exchanges. Additionally, Walter has sold over 45,000,000 SF of investment grade real estate over the last few years. Over the past 24 months, Walter has completed 4,800,000 in sales and leases totaling over $92 million, earning Walter the "Top Producer of the Year" award for five out of the last 6 years.
Since formation in 2010 Morris-Floyd Capital Partners has acquired six centers in four states totaling 500,000 Sq. Ft., raised over $30 million in equity and secured $32 million in debt. Walter has been responsible for the leasing, disposition and acquisition of over 30 million square feet of office, industrial facilities and freight terminals throughout the country. He has been involved in over 400 assignments with a value of over $400 million since 1991.
Mr. Floyd has also acquired 27 value-added industrial buildings totaling approximately
1,400,000 square feet and has participated in 10 other acquisitions not in the general partner position. In the majority of these acquisitions he has been solely responsible for construction, financing, due diligence and leasing. The value of the projects that he has been the general partner on exceeds $40 million.
Mr. Floyd is a Certified Commercial Investment Member (CCIM) designate, which is an internationally recognized expert in the disciplines of commercial and investment real estate. He has also earned the Society of Industrial and Office Realtors (SIOR) designation, the professional symbol of highest level of knowledge, production, and ethics in the real estate industry.
He was a founding Principal of NAI Huff Partners, LP, until their merger with Transwestern in 2011 and now serves as a Principal there. His tenacity for securing the best deals for each of his clients has earned him many awards, including CoStar Power Broker, CoStar Top DFW Industrial Broker, Dallas Business Journal Heavy Hitters, NAI Global Elite Top Performer and Huff Partners “Top Producer of the Year” award, all on multiple occasions. In his Transwestern role G. Walter Floyd specializes in all aspects of industrial and retail real estate development, investment, acquisition and disposition in the DFW area and the United States.
Walter received a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing from Texas Christian University.
